Steel Bicycle Frame

This steel bicycle frame was made during a workshop held by the well-known  framebuilder Dario Pegoretti. Each working team received a tubes set by Columbus and the aim was to build a frame only with manual tools. Before the manual works, Pegoretti taught us about the geometry of different bicycle categories and how to obtain them. Each team made a frame with specific size and purpose, of course under the costant supervision of the master (especially during the welding phases). In addition to the manual parts of the workshop, we also had to design with a CAD software our own frame. The most difficult part in designing a bicycle frame is that very small details can make a significant difference. My team and I designed a track frame with larger diameter of tubes close to junctions to make it stronger and unique and a flat stem to enhance the sense of speed.
